Ainhoa Amaro García is an architect in the exercise of free profession, and researcher. In addition, she is the coordinator of Grupo de Trabajo sobre Conflictos socio-espaciales del Turismo (GTCOTUR), assigned to Red Internacional sobre Imaginarios y Rapresentaciones (RIIR), and an active member of Red Internacional de Pensamiento Crítico sobre Globalización y Patrimonio Construido (RIGPAC).
Ainhoa Amaro Garcia has achieved a PhD in Architecture at Universidad of Alcalá in Madrid. Then, she obtained a Master's Degree in Proyecto Avanzado de Arquitectura y Ciudad, specialty in intervention in the city at the same university. She has a Bachelor of Architecture, achieved at Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. In the academic field, she has spent time in Italy at Università degli Studi di Sassari, Università degli Studi di Trieste, and Politecnico di Torino. She has been an advisor in public organisms of national scope and international, Associate Researcher in the research project Turismo de cruceros en Ensenada, BCN. Repercusiones urbanas, arquitectónicas y sociales en el centro turístico of the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the Universidad de Baja California in Mexico.
