Javier Martínez-Brocal is the Director of ROME REPORTS TV News Agency and Vatican correspondent for TV Azteca (Mexico), Caracol Noticias (Colombia), Telemetro Panama, Trece TV (Spain), and others. Born in Granada, Spain, Javier received his bachelor's degree in Audiovisual Communication from the University of Navarra. He then worked for a daily TV show “Tele 5” in Madrid from 2001 to 2003. His work at ROME REPORTS has brought him on travels with Pope Francis and Pope Benedict to inform audiences on the daily news of the Vatican. He is the director of the weekly show “The World Seen From the Vatican”. He wrote the documentaries “Francis: The People's Pope”, “Benedict XVI: A love affair with the Truth” and “Bad Apples” (Premio Bravo 2010 from the Spanish Bishop's Conference) on the sex abuse crisis in the Catholic Church. He has pubblished a biography on Pope Francis, “El Papa de la misericordia” (Planeta, 2015) and “El Vaticano como nunca te lo habían contado” (Planeta, 2018).
