Simos Grammenidis is Associate Professor of Translation Studies at the Department of Translation of the School of French Studies, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece.
He received his PH.D. in Theoretical and Formal Linguistics from Paris VII – Denis Diderot University in 1994, with a specialization in Contrastive Linguistics and Translation.
His research interests focus on translation problems both from a linguistic and cultural perspective. He is the author of two monographs as well as several journal articles. He is president of the Greek Society for Translation Studies.
