Gabriele Delogu

Gabriele Delogu is a territorial planner with a Ph.D. in Engineering for energy and environment. He specializes in the qualitative and quantitative analysis of territorial resources using geospatial data and advanced remote sensing techniques to monitor and preserve natural and cultural heritage. He employs Geographic Information Systems as diagnostic, predictive, and decision-support tools to interpret territorial dynamics and transformation processes in cities, rural areas, and landscapes. From 2022 to 2025, he completed a Ph.D. program in Engineering for Energy and Environment at the University of Tuscia in Viterbo, Italy. During this time, he conducted research on using hyperspectral satellite data, from the Italian mission PRISMA, to support urban and regional planning. Since 2022, he provides teaching support for Remote Sensing and Rural Territorial Analysis courses taught by Prof. Lorenzo Boccia at the Department of Architecture (DIARC) of the University of Naples Federico II. Before that he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning and Geographic Information Systems from La Sapienza University in Rome in 2017 and a master’s degree in Territorial, Urban and Landscape-Environmental Planning from Federico II University in Naples in 2020, and he worked in the renewable energy sector, conducting Environmental Impact Assessments for photovoltaic systems until 2022.
