Wifaq Ahmed is a civil consultant engineer & an accomplished professional and Certified (ToT) based in Mosul, Iraq, with a background and extensive experience in project management and heritage monuments rehabilitation. He led many civil, rehabilitation & capacity- building projects in Iraq, with collaboration of the private sector, UN Agencies, international & national NGOs working in Iraq.Also he played a role as (researcher) with many NGOs to evaluate the post conflict damage in Mosul. His professional history is marked by significant roles with international organizations, including serving as a Site Engineer for UNESCO on the restoration of the House of Prayer (Mosul) and as a Field Consultant Engineer for UN-Habitat, where he managed large-scale surveys and the rehabilitation of thousands of houses affected by war. Wifaq’s leadership extends into the private sector, having managed engineering departments for many Companies and oversaw major infrastructure, Heritage, and modern projects. Academically, he holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Al Anbar University and is preparing for an MBA degree in project management, and is a member of the Iraq Engineering Union. He is highly credentialed, possessing an International ToT Accreditation from AIPS with MERIT score, a five-year accreditation from Cambridge Training College, and certification from the General Syndicate of Iraqi Trainers. Beyond his technical expertise in project management and field investigation, he is a dedicated Social and Heritage Activist, having founded the Anqaa Cultural Club in Mosul.
