Miguel Monteiro de Barros is an educator, historian, and researcher of African histories andprocesses of racialisation. He promotes inclusive history teaching, amplifying marginalised voicesand plural perspectives. As President of the Portuguese History Teachers Association, he developscurricula and textbooks focused on equity, critical use of sources, and student autonomy.
