Pilar Chías is a PhD in Architecture, and is Full Professor and Director of the School of Architecture at the University of Alcalá. She is a member of the Spanish National Agency for Quality in Higher Education (CNEAI-ANECA); until 2018 was responsible for architecture in the coordination team of the Area of Civil Engineering and Architecture in the National Agency for Evaluation and Prospective of the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (ANEP).
She is a specialist in Cultural Heritage study, analysis and documentation, and is leading currently the research team ‘‘Intervention in Cultural Heritage and Sustainable Architecture’’ (University of Alcala). She is a member of the Working Group on Spanish Spatial Data Infrastructures (IDEE), and the Working Group on INSPIRE for the Spanish Cultural Heritage (Instituto del Patrimonio Cultural de España).
