Emanuele Amendola is the director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Washington, DC, an official organization of the Italian government dedicated to the promotion of the Italian language and culture in the United States. Before this role, Amendola served as a cultural attaché at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy.
