Katerina Dalakoura

Katerina Dalakoura is Assistant Professor of History of Education at the Department of Philosophy and Social Studies, University of Crete. She is member of the scientific committees of the journals «Espacio Tiempo y Educacion», and «Foro de Educacion», and of the Book Series «Donne Nella Storia». Some of her recent published books are: Women’s Education in the Greek Communities of the Ottoman Empire (19th cent.-1922): women’s socialization, patriarchy and nationalism (Gutenberg, Athens 2008); (co-authored) Women’s Education – Women in Education (18th -20th Centuries): Social, Ideological and Educational Transformations and Women’s Interventions (Hellenic Academic Libraries, Athens 2016) and (co-edited) Historiography of Greek Education: Reassessments and prospects (Faculty of Letters Press, Heraklion 2015).
