RonaldDiPippo is a retired Chancellor Professor of Mechanical Engineering and the former Associate Dean of Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth (UMD). He taught here from September 1967 until his retirement in June of 2004. Prior to that he worked as a junior engineer for the Grinnell Corporation in Providence, Rhode Island, and as a mechanical engineer at the United States Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) in Newport, Rhode Island. While at UMD, he also was a Visiting Research Professor and Visiting Lecturer at Brown University in Providence. Since retiring, he has been a visiting lecturer and researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), as well as a visiting lecturer at the School for Renewable Energy Science at the University of Akureyri, Iceland, and most recently as a lecturer at the National Geothermal Academy at the University of Nevada Reno.
