Giuseppe Placidi received the master of Science in Computer Science in 1991 at the University of L’Aquila. During the University course, he received a student fellowship in computational mathematics (September 1990) from the National Research Council (C.N.R.) of Rome. In 1996 he received the Ph.D. degree in Medical Imaging at the University of L’Aquila. In 1996/97 he was a research contractor for I.N.F.M. (National Institute for Physics of Matter) and in 1998/99 a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Electrical Engineering of the University of L’Aquila. From September 1999 to February 2005 he was a research associate in the field of Medical Imaging and Tomography in the Department of Science and Biomedical Technology of the University of L’Aquila. Since March 2005 he has been an assistant professor in Computer Science in the Department of Life, Health & Environmental Sciences. Actually he is associate professor in Computer Science in the same Department.
