Manuela E.B. Giolfo is Tenured Professor of Arabic language and literature at IULM University, Milan. She holds a PhD in Arabic linguistics from Aix-Marseille University, where she was Chercheuse associée at the Institut de recherches et d’études sur le monde arabe et musulman 2014-2020. She was Lecturer in Arabic at the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies, University of Exeter 2008-2013. Her current research focuses on contemporary Arabic variation and variation-driven models for proficiency enhancement in TAFL.
