Marco Aleandri is a qualified actuary with extensive experience in insurance industry since 2009. He covered several quantitative topics and regulatory framework at multiple companies and consultancies, across three continents. Among others, he is a fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and a certified financial risk manager of the Global Association of Risk Professionals. In 2019, he was awarded a PhD in actuarial science by la Sapienza Università di Roma. Since then, he is still working on a number of research projects on potential applications of data science in insurance business and actuarial practice. In parallel, he is contributing to the spread of those subjects as an instructor at the Institute for Statistics Education (statistics.com).
