Pedro Henrique Pires is an undergraduate student in the 6th semester of the Public Policy Management program at the University of Brasília (UnB), Brazil. Originally from the public school system in Ceilândia (Federal District), he began his academic journey at the Brasília School of Music, where he earned a degree in Popular Guitar. After completing high school, he entered the job market to help support his family and resumed his academic path eight years later upon entering UnB.
During his studies, he joined Publicae Consultoria, the Junior Enterprise of the Public Policy Management course, working on public management and innovation projects, and took part in the REPE UnB Ceilândia extension project, which strengthens the dialogue between the university and the local community. He also collaborated with ScienTV, contributing to science communication through social media initiatives.
He participated in the SUDECO/UnB/ICH – Observatório RIDE project, focused on establishing a socioeconomic and environmental observatory for the Integrated Development Region of the Federal District and Surroundings (RIDE-DF and Entorno). Currently, he is a researcher at the Laboratory of Studies and Research on Innovation and Marketing in Services (LINSELAB/UnB) and a member of the Comunica UnB project, linked to the Laboratory of Education, Information, and Communication in Health (LabECoS/UnB), which promotes dialogue between science, the university, and society.
His research project, “ScienTV Connect: Innovative Strategies to Amplify Science Communication on Social Media,” developed under the PIBIT/UnB Program (2024–2025) and supervised by Prof. Dr. Josivania Farias with co-supervision by Prof. Dr. Renato Calhau, was selected for presentation at the 35th RESER Conference 2025, in Rome — one of the most prominent international events bringing together researchers from multiple fields to discuss topics such as economics, management, services, innovation, and public policy.
