Giammarco Tosi is a PhD Research in Management at Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad (Romania), with a unique interdisciplinary background at the intersection of technology, tourism, and management. He earned his thesis in videogames at the Politecnico di Milano, exploring how interactive media shape cultural and experiential practices, and later completed an MBA at INSEAD. His research focuses on digital tourism, responsible innovation, and the use of video games as tools for experiential learning and socio-environmental reflection. He has contributed to applied research projects at CNR and within the X-Tourism initiative, and is the co-author of “X-Tourism Reimagined: Survival Horror Video Games as New Frontiers of Responsible and Experiential Tourism” (with I. Ochoa, Journal on Tourism & Sustainability, 2025), which introduces the TREES framework (Tourism, Responsibility, Exploration, Environment, and Story) to analyze how horror games can function as ethical and immersive tourism experiences. His current area of research explores AI-powered LEADER digital twins, with a focus on integrating learning analytics, behavior modeling, and experiential design to simulate and enhance decision-making in digital environments.
