Paulo B. Lourenço is Full Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Minho, Guimarães, Portugal. He is the Head of the Structural Group and the Head of the Institute in Sustainability and Innovation in Structural Engineering, Portugal. He is also Editor of the International Journal of Architectural Heritage: Conservation, Analysis and Restorationand Coordinator of the International Erasmus Mundus Master in Structural Analysis of Monuments and Historical Constructions. His main research interests are NDT, advanced experimental and numerical techniques, innovative strengthening techniques, product development for the industry and earthquake engineering of modern and historical masonry.
