Shaimaa El Naggar received her Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics at Lancaster University in which she explored the interaction between language, new media and religion. Her main reasearch interests include sociolinguistics, Critical Discourse Studies, New Literacy Studies, digital communication and inter–cultural studies. Besides her academic publications, Shaimaa has a blog about linguistics entitled “Linguistic on the run” and is a published author of two collections of short stories.
