Valentina Gabbarini
Valentina Gabbarini is a biologist with skills in cell and molecular biology and biochemistry. She obtained a Master Degree in Human and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, defending a thesis in Clinical Molecular Biology and Clinical Biochemistry about the modulation of the cisplatin cytotoxic activity by the Glutathione Transferase P1-1 in human neuroblastoma cell line. This work was part of an international collaboration, involving among others, the Bio21 Molecular Science and Biotechnology Institute of the University of Melbourne (Australia). She attended the “NATO Biological Warfare Defence Awareness Course” at the NATO School in Oberammergau (Germany). To date, she is attendee and tutor of the II Level Master Course in “Protection against CBRNe events”, and is involved in administration and in relations with candidates and lecturers. She is author of 6 publications on biological issues related to safety and security concerns.
