Florencia Otero is a Maritime Lawyer serving as a Lieutenant in the Argentinian Coastguard. She is an international law graduate of the University of Buenos Aires, and achieved her LLM in International Maritime Law at IMLI – for which she was awarded the CMI Prize for Best Overall Performance for 2016. Part of her prize is to be invited to attend the next CMI event and there present a paper based on her prizewinning LLM dissertation, underwritten by the CMI Charitable Trust. It is as CMI prizewinner that we welcome Florencia to Genoa. Florencia has attended numerous shortcourses and Workshops, inter alia dealing with MARPOL Anned VI and Technology Transfer, Port Security Drills and Exercises, the ILO, and the Vinã del Mar Agreement. She is also a certified English translator.
