Giulia Adriana Pennisi

Giulia Adriana Pennisi is associate professor in English Language and Translation at the University of Palermo. She is currently working on specialized languages with a particular attention to lexico-grammatical and textual analysis of legal discourse genres within multilingual and multicultural contexts. She is Associate Fellow at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (IALS), Sir William Dale Visiting Fellowship, University of London, and serves as a reviewer for the Statute Law Review Journal and European Journal of Law Reform. Her publications include All-inclusiveness in Legal Language. Cross-cultural Perspectives in Specialised Discourse (2008), The Lexicon of Community Acquis: how to negotiate the non-negotiable (2009), Interdiscursive hybridity of European social dialogue (2011), ‘Europeanisation’ of Family Law. Interaction/Intersection of Cultural and Lexical Diversities (2012) and “Epistemic Modality Variation in Community Law Journals” (2012).
