Pietro Tricoli
Pietro Tricoli was born in Naples, Italy, on September 8, 1978. He received the M.S. and the Ph.D. Degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II in 2002 and 2005, respectively. He was a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2005. He was also a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nagasaki University, Nagasaki, Japan in 2006. He is currently a Post Doc Research Fellow with the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Naples Federico II. He is the author of 1 university textbook, 1 chapter of an international book and about 50 scientific papers published in international journals and conference proceedings. His main fields of interest are the use of renewable energy sources in the distributed generation, the application of storage devices for transportation and industrial drives, the control techniques of asynchronous machines both as motors and generators, and the modeling of switching power converters.Dr. Tricoli is a Registered Professional Engineer in Italy and is Member of the Institution of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Industrial Electronics Society (IES).Selected publications:Chapter of international books[1] Iannuzzi, D.; Pagano, E.; Tricoli, P.: Qualification of the power train: characterisation of innovative prototypes, in “Center of Competence for Transport Systems of the Campania Region”, Aracne Editrice, Roma, 2007.University textbooks[2] Pagano, E.; Tricoli, P.: “Nozioni complementari di macchine ed azionamenti elettrici”, Liguori Editore, Napoli, 2010.Papers published on international journals[3] D’Arco, S.; Iannuzzi, D.; Pagano, E.; Tricoli, P.: “Analysis of active filter behaviour by means of modified z-transform method”, IEE Proceedings - Electric Power Applications, vol. 152, issue 3, pp. 695 702, May 2005.[4] Lipo, T.
