Marco Adelfio is Associate Professor in Applied Urbanism. His research focuses on multi-stakeholder processes and co-production of knowledge contributing to socially sustainable development in urban, suburban and rural areas. He has expertise in collaborative pedagogy in the field of urban design and community architecture, participatory GIS and the role of humans and non humans in local translation of circulating knowledge. Before moving to Sweden he was teaching urban design and urban planning at different Spanish universities. In the past he also worked in Madrid as an urban design and planning consultant, dealing with large clients such as the Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA), the National Agency of Spain for Land Development and Endesa - a leading electricity company in Spain and Latin America.
