Silvia Vacirca is a scholar and writer based in Rome, working on fashion, cinema, art, and their intersection. She holds a PhD in Film and Theatre Studies from Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna and a PhD in History of Europe from Sapienza University of Rome. She published her first monograph, Fashioning Submission. Documenting Fashion, Taste and Identity in WWII Italy Trough ’Bellezza’ Magazine (Mimesis International) in 2023. In june 2025 L’Adattamento cinematografico non esiste will be out for Mimesis.
