Dr Shaila Lewis is Associate Professor Senior Scale, Department of Pharmaceutics, Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal, India. She has over 15 years of experience in formulation development. Her core area of research is cyclodextrin complexation, solid dispersions, Hot melt extrusion and lipid based drug delivery systems. She teaches Industrial Pharmacy, Physical Pharmacy and Biopharmaceutics to students at Manipal. She has guided 25 M.Pharm students and has supervised 2 doctoral students for their Ph.D.
