Carla Comellini, Associate Professor of English Language and Literature with Courses of Postcolonial Literature (University of Trieste) since 1/11/1998, and Professor of English Literature at the University of Bologna since 1/11/2005), is a member of the Research Doctorate in Literatures of the English-Speaking Countries (Bologna/ Trieste) since 1/11/1998.
Her main fields of research are: Modern and Contemporary British, Canadian and American Literature and Postcolonial Studies. She was a Fulbright Scholar (University of California/ Santa Barbara,1981-82); a research Scholar, with two grants of the Canadian Government (Universities of Toronto and Vancouver, 1988 and 1993); a CNR scholar, with two grants to make researches : in 1991 to research on British and North American Literature in the USA Library of Congress (Washington D.C.) and in the University of California; in a.y. 1996-97, to research on South African and Postcolonial Literature, at the Universities of Cape Town and Natal in Durban, in South Africa (1996-97).
