Raúl Cabrera Porcel is a biologist currently working at Barcelona Zoo. He is the Darwin Foundation representative for relations with Sanctuaries and Rescue Centres, and a member of the Board of SoS primates. He worked in the Mona Foundation (Girona), in the Park Aguilas del Teide (Tenerife) and in Madrid Zoo. He completed his formation at Jersey Zoo, Apenheul and Monkey World and collaborated with the Orangutan Foundation (Borneo), with the Limbe Wildlife Center (Cameroon), with the Lola Ya Bonobo Sanctuary and the CRPL (Lwiro Primate Rehabilitation Centre, DRC).
