Kerstin Odendahl is Professor for Public International Law, European Law, Foreign Public Law and Comparative Law at the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland) where, since September 2007, she is also Vice-Dean of the Law Faculty. She has been Visiting Professor for Public International Law at the University of Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne, France); Program Director of The Hague Academy of International Law (The Netherlands); Visiting Professor for Public International Law at the Georgetown University Law Center, Washington, D.C. (United States). She received several academic awards such as “Credit Suisse Award for Best Teaching” of the University of St. Gallen; “Ethics Award 1997” for the concept of an “environmental responsibility of sovereign States” developed in the doctoral thesis; “Prix de l’Institut d’Études Françaises pour Étudiants Étrangers” for the best CEP graduation 1990/1991 in Aix-en-Provence (France).
