Guilherme Cruz De Mendonça is Bachelor and Masters of Law from the State of Rio de Janeiro University (UERJ), (Brazil). He is specialist in cultural heritage at the Brazilian Institute of National Historic and Artistic Heritage (IPHAN), in partnership with UNESCO and Lecturer of Cultural Heritage and Environmental Law at UERJ and Getúlio Vargas Foundation in Rio de Janeiro. He is also member of the Brazilian Law Bar Association and of the International Law Association - Committee of Cultural Heritage Law. In 2006 his work “Cultural Rights: The Heritage under the Perspective of Diversity in Rio de Janeiro” won the Juridical Research Prize of Brazilian Law Bar Association, which theme was “Cultural Law: International Rules and Perspective for National Effective Protection”.
