Giovan Francesco Lanzara is Professor at the Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna and a Research Associate at the Research Institute on Judicial Systems of the National Research Council of Italy. His major research contributions have been at the intersection of three disciplinary fields: organization studies, information systems research and political science, with a specific focus on ICT–based innovation processes in organizations and institutions. His works are widely published in books and major refereed international journals. His most recent book is Shifting Practices. Reflections on Technology, Practice, and Innovation (MIT Press, 2016).
