Michael Arons

Michael Arons, professor of physics, received a Ph.D. in theoretical physics from the University of Rochester in 1964. After doing research in elementary particle theory and teaching physics at City College for many years, he went into university administration, serving as department chair, dean of science and provost at City College and academic vice–president at Long Island University. Now, returned to teaching, he teaches physics at the Brooklyn Campus. His outside interests include tennis, photography, travel, the Italian language and doting on his grandchildren.
