Karina Nielsen (1973) is Professor of Work and Organisational Psychology at the Norwich Business School, the University of East Anglia, UK where she is a member of the Employment Systems and Institutions Research Group. She holds a PhD in Applied Psychology from the University of Nottingham and prior to joining the University of East Anglia she was employed at the National Research Centre in Copenhagen, Denmark. She is an Honorary Professor at the University of Leicester and a research affiliate of Karolinska Institute, Sweden and the CPH-NEW, a joint research center of the University of Massachusetts Lowell (Work Environment, Community Health, Nursing) and the University of Connecticut (Occupational & Environmental Medicine, Occupational Health Psychology, Allied Health). She also serves as a member of the Norwegian Research Council on the Programme of Sickness Absenteeism, Work Environment and Health and is a member of the European Network of Work & Organizational Psychologists (ENOP).
