Prof Sarah C. Derrington (Australia) is Dean of the TC Beirne School of Law, University of Queensland. Sarah is a barrister specializing in maritime and shipping law, general commercial law and arbitration. She has published in leading international journals in the field of marine insurance, co-authored The Law & Practice of Admiralty Matters (OUP, 2016). She is a Director, Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA), Director, Maritime Law Association of Australia and New Zealand (MLAANZ), Vice – Chairman, Australian Maritime and Transport Arbitration Commission (AMTAC), Member, Admiralty Rules Committee (Cwlth), Member, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Member, Australian Institute of Company Directors,Fellow, Nautical Institute, Member, Council of the Australian National Maritime Museum (ANMM), and holds a PhD (in the field of marine insurance law) University of Queensland.
