Carmen Azcárraga Monzonís

Dr. Carmen Azcárraga Monzonís was born in Valencia (Spain) on 9 September 1979. She is currently associate professor of Private international law at the International law department “Adolfo Miaja de la Muela” of the Law faculty of the Universitat de València (Spain) and vice–dean for international relations of such faculty since march 2018. She obtained the degree in Law in 2002 with honours, the master degree in practical advocacy in International law of the Universidad de Murcia in 2006 and the Phd in Private international law with honours in 2007. She also obtained the degree in Translation and interpretation of the Universitat de València in 2013. She has published a large number of articles and chapters in collective books about various topic related with international successions, international family law, international procedural law, immigration law and gender studies. She has done several research stays in foreign prestigious universities and research institutions such as Harvard University, l’Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium) and the Swiss Institute of Comparative Law–SICL in Lausanne (Switzerland). She has also collaborated with The Hague Conference on Private International Law undertaking different tasks and founded the international network REDCompara in 2010, which includes nowadays members of 32 countries.
