Jennifer Thorp is an archivist, dance historian and former dancer specialising in court and theatre dance of England and France from the late-seventeenth to the late-eighteenth centuries. She has published extensively on the subject, and is currently completing a study of the career and extant dances of the London dancing-master Mr Isaac. She is also the co-organiser of the Oxford Dance Symposium which has been held every year since 1999 at New College Oxford.
