Julie Picard is a Maître de Conférences en géographie, Associate Professor at the University of Bordeaux, ESPE d’Aquitaine. She holds a PhD in Geography in 2013 (EHESS) (thesis title: The Cairo of African Christian Migrants: Migratory Impasse and Religious Citadinities) and conducts post–doctoral research on African migrants living in Toulouse. She is a member of PASSAGES (UMR 5319 – Bordeaux, France).
