Allan C. Christensen, A.B. (Harvard, 1962), Ph.D. (Princeton, 1968), is Professor Emeritus of English at John Cabot University in Rome. In addition to more than 30 articles on scholarly topics, he has published books on Edward Bulwer Lytton, Giovanni Ruffini, and John Keats. His most recent book is Nineteenth-Century Novels of Contagion: ‘Our Feverish Contact’ published by Routledge in 2005.
