Born in Borgonovo Val Tidone (PC) on February 17, 1964. Laurea cum laude in Nuclear Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano. Research Doctorate cum laude in Science and Technology of Radiations at the Politecnico di Milano. Assistant professor in Nuclear Plants at the Department of Nuclear Engineering (now Department of Energy), Politecnico di Milano (2005-2014).
Teaching assistant of the following courses at the Politecnico di Milano (2000-2005): Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer and Technological Systems; Dynamics and Control of Nuclear Plants; Control and Safety in Nuclear Plants.
Assistant professor at the Politecnico di Milano of the following courses (2006–2017): Control and Safety in Nuclear Plants, Nuclear Plants, Experimental Nuclear Reactor Kinetics and Dynamics and Control of Nuclear Plants for the Master in Nuclear Engineering; Transport of Particles/States/Fluids for Nuclear Engineering Applications in the framework of the Doctoral Program in Radiation Science and Technology; Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer and Technological Systems for the Specialized Degree in Architecture of Constructions.
Since 2015, associate professor of Nuclear Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, Department of Energy. At the beginning of 2015 he got the National Scientific Qualification to act as full professor of Nuclear Engineering.
Research activities (2000-2018) in Italy and abroad concerning innovative nuclear systems and components (ADS, IRIS, ELSY, SURE, CFR, ALFRED, MSFR), the development of control strategies for power plants as well as of new methods and techniques (multi-physics modelling approach, reduced order modelling approach, object-oriented simulators) for analyzing nuclear reactors of new generation.
Co-author of about 190 works presented at international conferences and published on international journals.
