Santolo Meo has been graduated with honors from the University Federico II of Naples where he is currently an associate professor. His research is directed to the field of power electronics, control of electrical drives and energy conversion. He is the author of over 110 publications in scientific journals and proceedings of international conferences in the field of power electronics. These publications can be grouped as follows: Modeling and control of linear induction machines; control of electrical drives with rotating induction motors; diagnostic of induction machines (rotating and linear); techniques improving power factor correction for ac-dc converters; anti-skidding systems for railway traction; a new mathematical modeling for electrical machines; design and control of PM dc brushless; analysis and design of new soft-switching converters (ac-dc, dc-dc and dc-ac) for renewable energy conversion and automotive applications; energy management strategies for automotive applications (traditional, pure electric and hybrid electric vehicles); control techniques for active filter applications.
