His painting has its root in the fanatical ethos os a small school in the south of France which made Cezanne its figurehead. Twenty years later, he still paints on location, finding himself in relation to a place although he would say it is much more of an adventure. He likes painting spontaneously, making mistakes, and learning, being open to a place.
