Stephen D. Nash is a native of Great Britain and a graduate in both Medical, Scientific & Technical Illustration (Middlesex University) and Natural History Illustration (Royal College of Art, London), Stephen Nash was Scientific Illustrator for Conservation International between 1989 and 2017, producing images for numerous conservation education campaigns and biological publications. He continues to work for the IUCN SSC Primate and Turtle Specialist Groups on a project–by–project basis. In 2002, a species of titi monkey, Callicebus stephennashi, was named in his honor, and in 2013 he completed illustrations of every primate taxon recognized at the time. He is Adjunct Associate Professor, Department of Art, Stony Brook University, (Stony Brook, New York State, USA) and is based at the Department of Anatomical Sciences at this University.
