Sema Soygenis has completed her secondary and high–school education at Robert College. She received her architectural education in Istanbul, Turkey (B.Arch., M.Arch., ITU) and in Buffalo New York, USA (M.Arch., University at Buffalo). She worked as an architectural designer in USA and founded her architectural studio. Currently, she is a faculty member and the Dean of Bahcesehir University School of Architecture and Design. Her projects were published as two monographs, exhibited at the American Institute of Architects Baltimore Chapter, University at Buffalo, and miscellaneous universities and venues in Turkey. She is the author of books titled Istanbul: An Urban Commentary / Bir Kent Yorumu and Mimarlik Dusunmek Duslemek (Thinking and Visioning Architecture).
