Jerome Krase è “Murray Koppelman” professore emerito del Brooklyn College, City University of New York (CUNY). Era presidente dell’American Italian Historical Association (AIHA, 1975–84) e del Brooklyn College Center for Italian American Studies (1993–97). Nel 2006 era “Italians of Staten Island” visiting scholar nel Wagner College (2006). Gli sono stati conferiti il Premio del Rettore della Sapienza – Università di Roma, e il Premio “Monsignor Gino Baroni” della rivista «Italian Americana». Attivista e studioso, nel 1977 ha co–fondato l’American Italian Coalition of Organizations of New York City.
