Won Mok Shim

Won Mok Shim obtained Ph.D. in Psychology – Harvard University, Department of Psychology in 2005 (Advisor: Prof. Patrick Cavanagh) with a thesis: The Role of Attention in Position Encoding.
Since 2016, he works, like assistant professor, at Department of Biomedical Engineering, Center for Neuroscience Imaging Research (CNIR) and Institute of Basic Science (IBS) at the Sungkyunkwan University. Before these experiences, from 2010 to 2016, he worked like assistant professor, at the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences of the Dartmouth College. From 2007 to 2009 he was Postdoctoral Associate (Advisor: Prof. Nancy Kanwisher), in the Department of Brain and CognitiveSciences /McGovern Institute of Brain Research - Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). From 2005-2007, he worked at Harvard University, Department of Psychology / MGH NMR Center, like Postdoctoral Fellow (Advisor: Prof. Yuhong Jiang).
His research interests are in Visual Perception and Cognition and Cognitive Neuroscience. Won Mok Shim has got many publications in these areas.
