David Atchison is Doctor of Science at the Queensland University. He obtained his PhD in 1983, at the University of Melbourne. Atchison worked as a research officer for the Australian Spectacle Lens Manufacturer (SOLA). He joined Queensland University (QUT) in 1985 and he is now Professor in the School of Optometry. For over 25 years he has been involved in the teaching and research of visual optics.
