Alessandra Ficarra attained her Ph.D. in Translation Studies from the University of Bari Aldo Moro, Italy, conducting her research in England and carrying out a fieldwork in Angola. Her research interests include human rights issues, post-colonial identity and museum representations. Currently, she is teaching English for Cooperation at the University of Calabria, and she is a Research Fellow at the Department of Culture, Education and Society of the same university.
