Maria Sabrina Sarto
Maria Sabrina Sarto was born in Rome in 1968. She received the laurea degree in Electrical Engineering in 1992 at University of Rome La Sapienza and the Ph.D. in 1997. From 1994 to 1998 she has been Researcher at the faculty of Engineering of Sapienza University, from 1998 to 2004 associate professor, and since 2005 full professor of Electrical Engineering. Since 1998 she has been Director of the Electromagnetic Compatibility Laboratory of the Dept. ofElectrical Engineering of Sapienza University, since 2006 she has been Director of the Research Center on Nanotechnology applied to Engineering of Sapienza (CNIS), and since 2011 she has been Director of Sapienza Nanotechnology and Nanoscience Laboratory (SNN-Lab). Since 2011 she has been Coordinator of the PhD in Electrical Engineering and since 2012 of the PhD in Electrical, Material and Nanotechnology Engineering at Sapienza University. Sabrina Sarto has been teaching the course of Electrotechnics for the Laurea degree in Aerospace Engineering since 1996, of Electromagnetic Compatibility for the Master degree in Electrical Engineering since 2008, and of “Design of micro/nano electrical and electromagnetic devices” for the Master degree in Nanotechnology Engineering since 2009. The research activity of Prof. Sarto is in the field of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), nanotechnology and nanostructured materials for application in the field of electrical and electronic engineering, aerospace. In particular she has been working during the last years on carbon nanotubes, graphene and related nanocomposites. She has authored more than 130 scientific papers on international journals and on the proceeding of peer-reviewed international symposium, and of three patents in the field of new nanomaterials for electromagnetic shielding and energy control. In 2010, she has been appointed Fellow of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering) for her exceptional contribution in the field of Advanced materials forElectromagnetic Compatibility”..
