Born and bred in Burgundy, Thierry Ray studied English at the University of Lyon and worked for a while abroad in Northern Ireland as a lecturer at Queen’s university or in Japan as a purchaser for a German company.
He then worked for 15 years in France in the distribution and logistics sector before switching to teaching.
Thierry Ray has been for 10 years at the University of Burgundy, Institute of Technology Chalon, where he teaches English and he is also in charge of the International Relations of the campus. On a more personal aspect Thierry has a long history with amateur drama, as as actor, from the age of 13, and more recently as an amateur playwright.
Deeply interested in arts he is a usual visitor of art exhibitions in Paris and Europe. He is a member of the association dedicated to the 12th century priory of Le Puley, where he lives. He is now 58.
