Is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Management of the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa, Italy. Her research explores the intersection of management, entrepreneurship, innovation ecosystems, and public policy, with a particular focus on institutional dynamics and their impact on the development of innovative firms. She investigates these themes across various sectors—including life sciences, healthcare, and high-tech—and from diverse geographical perspectives, examining dynamics in both developed and less developed regions, as well as in economies undergoing transition. She co-chairs the Institutions and Entrepreneurship Special Interest Group of the European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship and collaborates on national and international research initiatives, including projects funded by the European Union, the International Labour Organization, and national science foundations. Her work has been published in leading academic journals and edited volumes in the field of management.
