I am currently serving as Head of Research and Assistant Professor of Media and Communication at the ISTC Institute of Communication (Université Catholique de Lille). In 2020. I founded the institute’s research department and lead an interdisciplinary team, exploring the socio-political implications of digital media, including AI-based surveillance, the imaginary, and the public discourse surrounding algorithmic monitoring. In 2023, I co-founded CEThicS at the Université Catholique de Lille, the pioneering center in France dedicated to studying algorithmic surveillance’s ethical, political, legal and socio-discursive implications. I also co-convene the Surveillance and Power research group in collaboration with the Centre Internet et Société (CNRS). My teaching portfolio includes undergraduate and graduate courses on communication ethics, digital culture, and the (geo)politics of digital media and AI. Before joining ISTC, I taught Anglophone Studies, with an emphasis on (digital) media and politics, at Université de Lille and Sciences Po Lille.
