Degree in “Aeronautical Engineering”, University of Rome “La Sapienza” (1989); graduate technician, University of Rome “La Sapienza” (1990-2001); doctorate in “Applied Mechanics”, University of Rome “La Sapienza” (1993); lecturer in “Hydraulics at the Department of Hydraulics of the University of Rome and member of the Council of the Doctorate in Hydraulics Engineering. He carried out scientific activity in the field of environmental fluid mechanics, in particular: development of lagrangian models for the evaluation of pollutant concentrations (means and fluctuations) in ocean and atmosphere; study of the breeze circulation by means of field campaigns; numerical simulation of the mesoscale atmospheric circulation and related pollutant dispersion; study of the pollutant dispersion in urban areas; numerical simulation of the urban heat island; modeling of hydrodynamic fields and marine pollutant dispersion. The scientific activity is documented by 102 papers, on conference proceedings (58), journals (35), books (8) and PhD thesis (1). He has been coordinator of several research projects related to environmental fluid mechanics.
